VABANC Endorses Billy Chan for NAPABA Secretary
As approved by the Endorsement Committee, VABANC has endorsed Billy
Chan in his bid to become Secretary of the National Asian Pacific
American Bar Association (NAPABA). Billy is an attorney in San
Francisco and currently a regional governor of NAPABA. He has been
long active in bar and Asian American issues nationally and in the Bay
Area, having served as president of the Filipino Bar Association of
Northern California and an officer of the Asian American Bar
Association of the Greater Bay Area. He was instrumental
in getting VABANC to join NAPABA.
The NAPABA Newsletter (2008 Election Edition) has been mailed and
VABANC members, who are now also members of NAPABA, may have already
received it. The ballot for the election is on the back page of the
newsletter. VABANC urges its members to vote for Billy. The
deadline to submit ballots has been extended to October 7.
