Ann N. Nguyen, Esq. works on a broad range of complex bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, foreclosure and relief from bankruptcy court automatic stay issues, real property and personal property exemptions, reaffirmation agreements, plan confirmation, adjustment of debts, motion to value / avoid lien, and proof of claim disputes.


Nguyen has exceptional experience in representing consumer and business debtors in the Oakland, San Jose, and San Francisco Bay Area. Nguyen is admitted to the bankruptcy courts of the Northern District of California and Eastern District of California. She has represented numerous satisfied debtors and creditors in chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases in the Northern District of California and Eastern District of California. Nguyen was a speaker at the 2009 National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys on Bankruptcy Law, San Jose foreclosure information clinics, and was invited to speak at a Nummi Reemployment Center on bankruptcy issues following the closure of the Nummi plant in Fremont, California.


Prior to joining the firm, Nguyen practiced as a solo-practitioner, and worked at a real estate civil litigation law firm. Nguyen also gained numerous professional experiences including In House Counsel for Coca Cola, the County Public Defender’s Office, various law firms, and the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Nguyen earned her Bachelors of Arts in Business Economics Accounting in an ambitious three years from the University of California at Santa Barbara and earned her Juris Doctorate from a private law school where she was the President and Founding Member of the College of Law's Chapter of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and was a elected Student Bar Association Board Officer. Nguyen also attended the University of Technology at Sydney's Law School Program in Sydney, Australia .


Nguyen is the current Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California (VABANC) president and has been on the board of the Barristers Club of San Francisco, co-chair of the Minority Bar Coalition, Bar Association of San Francisco Diversity Task Force team, member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), American Bar Association (ABA), California Bar Association, Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP), Aids Legal Referral Program (ALRP), and San Francisco, Santa Clara County and Alameda County Bar Associations. Nguyen was also the co-chair of the 2008 National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA) in San Francisco where hundreds of attorneys from all over the world attended. Nguyen is a recognized Alameda County Bar Association volunteer lawyer and a lawyer on the Alameda County Bar Association Legal Referral Service Panel. In addition Nguyen has been a Bar Association of San Francisco's Destination Law School "Law Academy" program mentor, volunteer for the Constitutional Rights Foundation Mock Trial Competition, speaker at UC Berkeley, and speaker at City College of San Francisco.
