VABANC recently held our Annual Scholarship Dinner on April 29,
2005, at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant in San Jose, California. Approximately
150 attorneys, judges, law students, and community leaders and members
attended as our keynote speaker, Professor Wendy N. Duong of the University
of Denver Sturm College of Law, challenged the community to consider
forming a national Vietnamese American bar association and discussed
the relationship between law, leadership, and art. We were also inspired by our
scholarship recipients: Doan Trang T. Nguyen (Boalt), Oanh Kim
Tran (Santa Clara), and Thao Ngoc Tran (Boalt).
