Dear Friends,
We invite you to celebrate immigrant contributions to California’s economy and culture at the 9th Annual Immigrant Day on May 23rd 2005. Join hundreds of immigrants and advocates in raising our voices on behalf of immigrant families throughout the state. This year’s state budget proposal once again places the burden of addressing the state’s budget crisis on working families. The Governor has targeted families who receive work supports through CalWORKs, In Home Supportive Services workers, child-care workers as well as critical health care and human services for low-income families. Immigrant Day will bring a unified voice to Sacramento in support of immigrant communities and working families. Join us May 23rd in Sacramento!
